August is always an atypical month in real estate given many local factors – back to school, continued rising temps, vacations, and more. After reviewing several local markets, we continue to see a contraction in the number of homes sold this month as compared to August 2022. Additionally, nearly all of these markets continued to rise in price – with many areas rising by double-digit percent when compared to 2022. While homes are not selling as quickly as before, it’s safe to say most homes are still selling on average at or less than one month's time. Historically speaking, this is still pretty fast!
